St. Marks Exploration

Wow. Clearly, I’ve been behind on updating this. Then again, I’ve been on a bit of hiatus while I get my life together now that I’m in the “real world”. Well…somewhat. Anyways, I went into the city to meet up with some friends and  got back to the roots of my photography. Back when I was still in college in NYC (not that long ago honestly), I had the opportunity to randomly explore and really just experiment. Maybe it’s time to get that started again. But in the meantime. Take a look.

  • A man yawns while looking at the MTA subway map.
  • A mother and her child cross the street around the 8th St. NYU area.
  • A worker outside of a restaurant checks his phone.
  • Very solid falafel pita.
  • What R2D2 would probably look like if he got tagged up.
  • A sign out side of the filipino restaurant, Maharlika, where we ate for brunch.
  • A tiny coffee shop that seemed to be endlessly packed with patrons.
  • A locked metal door with an intriguing graffiti pattern.
  • I have no words for this.
  • I'm not exactly contributing to the sticker's cause.
  • Next place to try, just around the corner from Maharlika.
  • The streets.
  • A drink very worthy of its namesake at Maharlika
  • I totally forget this drink's name but it was very cucumbery.
  • Calamansi Mango Mimosa
  • Yes, it's just as good as it looks.
  • Fried Garlic Rice, Paquiao's Punch, and Sizzling Sisig
  • Bake Shop
  • Micha Face
  • Reminds me of Barca
  • A throwback to many "long" nights with friends.
  • A pedestrian making his way down the sidewalk.
  • Not sure how I feel about this...
  • A man putting up posters about the Occupy movement.
  • A couple standing by waiting for the next L Train
  • 14th Street Station
